Goings On

Dick Bush Named PPUMC Quiet Disciple for 2011

Dick has always lived the life of a Quite Disciple. He is a life long member of Pikes Peak and has always worked hard for the betterment of the church and the world. As a small child he would attend the women’s mission group, only he called it the “ission” group. Even then he was learning to serve his fellow man and follow God’s word.

Dick has served many different ways, Administrative Chair, Finance Chair, Trustee member for at least 8 years and Green Team. He has sung in the choir since he was a youth and still lends his voice each Sunday. As a member of the Trustee’s he has painted, repaired window, doors, done electrical, plumbing and even cleaned the church.

Dick has always been a Stewart of God’s earth, during the energy crisis of the ‘70s he would take the bus to work trying to make a difference. Now at our church he is in charge of recycling and trying to teach all more about good stewardship.

He lends his hand and time to all who needs it, he is his brothers’ keeper. Dick does all of this quietly without drawing attention to himself. So many times we have heard him say, “Oh I didn’t do much.” Indeed he does much and with great humility.
